Paintings underway

Currently working on 4 oil paintings. Here are 3 of them.  The Dragoon pistol and the saddle paintings are from subjects I photographed at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco Texas.  The painting in the back, with the old Spurs, is a still life I set up in my studio. All of these paintings have a lot of work left to do before completion. 

Spurs and Things - In process

This is one of the four paintings I am currently working on.  It is 15" x 15", oil on museum series panel gessobord. I set up this still life in my studio.  I paint with many layers of glazes.  Each layer takes a long time to dry before I can add another layer. For this reason, I started working on many paintings at the same time. I am also working on the design for additional paintings.
